The representation of Sex in Art is a controversial subject. The Barbican attempt to tackle it in their latest exhibition ‘Seduced: Art and Sex from Antiquity to Now'. The exhibition grapples with the sexual content in art from all over the world; Japan, China, Europe - from Renaissance to contemporary art in all mediums. With the Guardian naming this ‘The Bravest and most intelligent exhibition of the year', and with it featuring work by Warhol, Picasso and Rembrandt, this exhibition lives up to its hype.

One of the greatest art movements of the 20th century is Pop Art, and a new exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery covers a very specific area of Pop Art: Portraiture. While the portrait is arguably showcased in some of the most memorable pieces of Pop Art, such as Warhol's Marilyn Monroe, there are other aspects of portraiture that are subtly uncovered within this interesting and reflective exhibition.
