About Jonathan Truss


Established as one of the UK’s leading wildlife artists, Jonathan Truss is known the world over for his incredible paintings. His pieces sit on the walls of private owners and businesses around the world, demonstrating the broad appeal of both his style and his subject matter.

Jonathan is a member of ‘The Society of Animal Artists’ and also the US-based ‘Artists for Conservation’, with his paintings being sold through many major auction houses, including Christies and Sotheby’s.


Jonathan’s never-ending search for new ideas extends to annual trips, camping under canvas in the incredible game parks of Africa. On several occasions, he has conducted art safaris in Africa, India and South America, showing his enthusiasm for the animals he portrays.


Jonathan Truss has raised thousands of pounds for wildlife causes in support of the conservation of endangered species. He has also made a number of television appearances and has been featured in many national and international magazines and newspapers.

Jonathan has also won an impressive array of accolades for his artwork; he has been a finalist in both the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year and the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year.

Jonathan is also one of the co-authors of a major art book entitled ‘How to Draw Wildlife’.
