Michael Simpson is a renowned figurative wildlife sculptor, his works most often cast in bronze.

Michael’s remarkable artistic talent combined with his interest in animal behaviour, allows him to produce uniquely textured pieces capturing the majesty and energy of the natural world.

Whilst he studied fine art at Staffordshire Polytechnic, it was the traditions of his home town of Stoke-on-Trent which brought about his love of sculpture.

Michael enjoys working on several sculpts at the same time, choosing to move from one to another as inspiration strikes. Drawing from his own sketches and photographs, his works are uniquely detailed.

Michael’s ability to design extremely accurately and yet with a loose contemporary feel means his style is easily recognised and much appreciated by collectors.

Having collaborated with other artists including David Shepherd, and with notable celebrity collectors of his work including Tom Jones, Michael’s works have been sold across the world.

Michael has sold his work to raise money for a number of charities, including the  Starlight Children’s Foundation and the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.
