Going Underground

Boxed, Humour/Naive Giclée Canvas Print by Steve Tandy

£627.20

Steve Tandy took inspiration from The Jam’s ‘Going Underground’ for this piece as Paul Weller was a great inspiration to him whilst growing up in the 80’s. He has included pieces of Mod culture in this piece such as the setting of London and the ‘Mod’ colours (red, white and blue) throughout the work. The Tiger shows Paul Weller, as he is always known to be someone who expresses his views and opinions proudly.

Concrete Jungle

Boxed, Humour/Naive Giclée Canvas Print by Steve Tandy

£627.20

For this magnificent piece, Steve Tandy took inspiration from his favourite city, New York as well as his favourite musician, Jay-z. The title comes from the chorus of Jay-z’s song ‘Empire State of Mind’. This piece shows subtle hints of the impacts of deforestation and the habitat of wild animals, suggesting that the beautiful animals such as the jaguar in this piece will soon have to live in a concrete jungle.
